My first meeting with a client is an opportunity to get to know each other but it is not a commitment to continue. It’s important that you have a chance to meet me, to ask any questions you may have of me and to share whatever it is that has brought you here in order to decide if I’m the best therapist for you. It is essential that you feel comfortable and sense that you can trust me and this process for it to be of benefit to you. Once you’ve decided to go forward, we move at the pace that suits you. Sometimes our concerns and/or behaviors can be sorted through in just a handful of sessions. Other times we may remain engaged for a much longer time to allow the process to unfold in a caring and healing and sensitive manner.
